finreach

Boutique Canberra accounting, audit and assurance firm. Two audiences with two very different decision drivers. One brand voice, spoken through two spokespeople, that had never been locked down.

THE BRIEF

Communicate senior-firm expertise and boutique-firm attention to not-for-profits and growth-stage SMEs.

01

Foundation

FinReach came to us with genuine credibility - a Director with 25+ years in the NFP sector, ACCA/CIMA-qualified delivery capability, and a hybrid Canberra-Colombo model that let them offer senior-level service at a price that made sense for the organisations they wanted to work with. What they didn't have was a consistent way of saying any of it. Copy leaned on generic claims like "expertise" and "real relationships" instead of the specifics that actually build trust with a governance-literate audience. And with two people publishing under their own names - the Director and the offshore operations lead - there was a real risk the brand would start to sound like two different people, not one firm.

THE PROBLEM

Two audiences, one brand. Not-for-profits care about governance pressure, board obligations and funding complexity. Growth-stage SMEs care about the chaos of scaling and the relief of a proper financial team behind them. Collapse those into one undifferentiated message and you speak to neither. Add two spokespeople with genuinely different vantage points - Canberra relationship-holder and Colombo delivery lead — and the brand needed a locked framework before a single further word went out.

BRAND VOICE FRAMEWORK

We built FinReach's brand personality from the ground up using a Look / Talk / Feel / Act framework - real people and real settings over stock photography and boardroom cliché, direct and jargon-free language, a "safe hands" feeling at every touchpoint, and a firm that shows up proactively rather than waiting to be asked. We locked the language that couldn't be paraphrased - headline positioning, calls to action - so it stayed consistent no matter who was writing or which channel it appeared on.

POSITIONING & MESSAGING

We repositioned the hybrid Canberra-Colombo model as a value story, not a cost story - the reason FinReach can deliver this level of service at this price, never a "cheap offshore" narrative. Every piece of substantial copy was resequenced to lead with FinReach's own service quality and affordability first, using real client pain points as context for why the service matters rather than as a chance to critique competitors.

02

Insight

Accounting is a considered, trust-first purchase for both audiences - but for entirely different reasons, and generic "we're experts" messaging was failing to land with either.

AUDIENCE RESEARCH

We identified two genuinely distinct decision drivers sitting inside the one client base. Not-for-profit boards and executives are managing governance risk, ACNC obligations, grant acquittals and restricted funds. Growth-stage SMEs are managing a different kind of chaos entirely - the operational strain of scaling without a proper financial function behind them.

COMPETITOR REVIEW

We reviewed how FinReach sat relative to other accounting and assurance firms in the Canberra market, assessing how competitors presented themselves online, what channels they were active in, and where the gaps existed.

THE INSIGHT THAT DROVE EVERYTHING

Neither audience is buying "accounting." NFPs are buying protection for their mission. SMEs are buying the confidence to grow without the numbers becoming the risk. Every piece of positioning, every content post, every page of copy was built to speak to one of those two specific fears - never a generic professional-services claim sitting in the middle of both.

03

System

Two audiences and two spokespeople needed a pipeline that could hold nuance, not just contacts in a list. Content also needed to do double duty - building the brand and actively feeding the business development conversations already underway.

  • Sales Pipeline Design & Build - built out a structured GHL pipeline for the NFP-sector and SME segment contact base, segmented into four distinct categories: Buyers, Influencers, Strategic, and Relationship contacts - giving the BD process a clear lens on who needed proof of competence versus who needed to be kept warm.

  • Content-to-BD Integration - mapped FinReach's content calendar directly to those four pipeline segments, so a monthly content extract tells the BD team exactly what's going live, who it's aimed at, and the window where a direct message or call lands best off the back of it.

  • Automation Flows - built the complete automation ecosystem across the full customer lifecycle including.

  • Website& SEO informed Copywriting - designed the website and produced SEO copy, including all forms and integrations.

  • Lead Magnets - produced lead magnet guides, each connected to GHL with automated delivery and nurture sequencing.

  • Calendar & Consultation Setup - configured the consultation booking calendar connected to the website including availability settings, booking confirmation email and SMS, reminder sequence, internal lead alert notifications, and missed booking handling.

  • Dashboards & Pipeline Visibility - configured lead overview and sales pipeline dashboards.

04

Creation

With the audience logic and the system in place, we built the assets that let FinReach show up consistently across both audiences and both spokespeople.

  • Brand Voice & Personality Guide (Look / Talk / Feel / Act)

  • Campaign Strategy - full digital campaign strategy designed and developed for FinReach's market.

  • LinkedIn Content Program - Director's voice (NFP sector credibility, named client proof points)

  • Lead Magnet Guides - professionally designed PDF guides connected to automated delivery and designed to position FinReach as the authoritative partner before a conversation even begins.

  • Email Nurture Sequences — behaviour-driven email sequences developed for each audience segment and pipeline stage.

  • Monthly Content Calendar - mapped to CRM pipeline segments

05

Activation

FinReach's growth engine runs on relationships and reputation, not paid media - so activation here means something more precise than a channel plan. It means making sure the right content reaches the right segment at the right moment in a business development conversation that's already happening.

CONTENT AS SALES ENABLEMENT

Rather than running a content stream and a BD stream in parallel, we built the two to work as one system. Buyers - the closest to a decision - receive content built to de-risk: proof and results, not thought leadership. Influencers receive shareable sector commentary they can pass on internally. The result is a content calendar that functions as a live BD tool, not just a brand presence.

MEDIA BUYING & MANAGEMENT

Campaign traffic directed to www.finreach.com.au with UTM tracking applied across all placements for clear attribution.

06

Evolution

The system is live and active. The work now is making sure it keeps performing - and adapting as FinReach grows.

  • Monthly Content Extracts - an ongoing rhythm of content-to-pipeline mapping, keeping BD activity and brand content moving as one system rather than drifting apart.

  • Copy & Voice Refinement - continued review of website and content copy against the locked brand voice rules as FinReach's service mix and audience balance evolves.

  • Pipeline Review - regular review of the four-segment CRM structure to ensure it still reflects where real opportunities sit.

The Henry

In a city where everyone knows someone who knows you, your reputation often arrives before you do. A drip-feed campaign - like a 10-part video series delivered over weeks - lets you shape that reputation deliberately. Each video shares your expertise, your thinking, your way of working.
